Most of us have been there, happily using our phones when suddenly something happens and water finds its way into our phones, which is a horrible thing as you might have figured out already.

A phone can withstand some water getting stuck inside, however, it shouldn’t be there too long nor it can survive being inside a pool.

If you notice some water did find its way into your phone maybe because of heavy rain or an accident with a water bottle, you can actually get it out with sound, yes sound!

There are actually a few apps you can download to do this, or some youtube videos will play the sound you need to play that will help you eject the water out of your phone Let’s see how you can use sound to get your phone dry again.

n Beats

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhItAtZDzU8

If you play this video from n Beats on YouTube, you’ll be able to play a sound that will get the water out of your phone, and there are a few people in the comments saying that it actually works, so it’s worth giving it a shot.

This works in so many ways. Last week, some friends went to the beach but it was high tide. Using about 12 phones, we managed to push the water back from the shore and have a relaxing beach experience. Thank you.

Another viewer said:

I made the mistake of leaving my phone in the washing machine.. I didn’t realize it was in there until the load was done. I’m so surprised my phone made it out unscathed, but the emotional trauma of my unintentional water boarding took a toll on the phone’s mental health. This video allowed my phone to communicate clearer, and express the traumatic emotions it endured

If this can save your phone from the washing machine, it’s probably effective.

Minicreo Phone

This is a website where you can play at a very low frequency in order to get the water out. This is very straightforward and easy, and the best part of it is that you don’t need to download an app, just visit the website and click on “Fix My Speaker” and that’s it!

Sonic (App)

Sonic is an app that’s only available for iOS, and it essentially gives you control over a sine wave that goes from 0 to 25kHz, which is more than enough to get the job done. Also, you can control the app with an Apple Watch if you do have one.

Speaker Cleaner (App)

This is also an app, but you can get this one on Android. You’ll be able to get your phone dry in less than a minute, and it has very good reviews so check it out if you are in trouble, it’s free and easy to use.

Gizmoxo

If you want another website option to get rid of the water inside your phone, you can go to Gizmoxo, which even includes an “Eject Water” button to make everything easy and fast.

Koma

Koma offers another Youtube video to help you with all that water inside your phone. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that you might have to play it a few times for it to work, other than that it seems very useful.

Fix My Speakers

This is a very similar version of the one that is available for the Apple Watch, the difference is that you can access this one through the browser without any downloads.

Super Speaker Cleaner

This is another version of the other android app with a similar name that has very good reviews, with one of its users stating that:

OK I was very skeptical of this app. After dropping my Galaxy in a inch of water just on the bottom part submerged I couldn’t get sounds like notifications and rings. The phone is supposed to easily survive in water but it had a problem. While running this app I was also digging around the headphone jack with a toothpick and a rather large piece of link came out. One of the two things worked and the phone speaker is back to new.

It currently has 4.8 stars out of 5 so try this one out!

Water Out Phone

This is another website option, but what is cool about this one is that it has a really good explanation of how it works, so give it a shot if you are still not too convinced that sound can fix your water problem.

Clear Wave

This app has a very good reputation, and it’s one of the most popular in this regard, it will play very low frequencies as well as very high frequencies that will help eject water and even dust.

How Can I Prevent Getting Water on My Phone?

Yes, we know this sounds a bit funny, but seeing a nice short list of what not to do, might be a good preventive measure to avoid these sorts of accidents from happening.
