A warm welcome to TalkinMusic!

Hi, my name is Michael, and I’m the Chief Music Geek (CMG) behind TalkinMusic.

I started this blog to share all the knowledge I’ve acquired from music school, blogs, forums, workshops/conferences and meeting other engineers and musicians.

Before, the main focus of the blog was music production – teaching producers how to properly mix their records in order to get a commercial-ready sound.

(So if you dig through our blog archives, most of the stuff you’ll find will be about music production.)

Since then, we’ve changed the site’s direction to writing great music gear reviews. 

More specifically, our mission is to have the best music gear reviews on the internet – for any topic that we’ve chosen to cover.

It’s an ambitious goal, I’m sure that you’ll agree.

But we like to (1) think big, (2) start small, and (3) learn FAST. Shoot for the stars and land on the moon. And see where this journey takes us.

A little bit about me

Before founding TalkinMusic, I was a full time music producer, dj, record label owner and remix artist.

Now I write for different music blogs (including this one) , review music gear for a living, and DJ around town in my spare time. I also do some freelance website development work.
