SAE: Also known as School of Audio Engineering which was started by producer Tom Misner in October 1976. The school is now in over 50 locations around the world. If you’re interested in improving your audio engineering skills then SAE is the best place to go.

Blogs

BPB: Which stands for Bedroom Producer Blog. The blog is run by Tomislav and this is great source for finding VST instruments, plugins and samples. Some of the stuff is free and some are paid stuff.

Rekkerd: It is a well known site run by Ronnie. This is where he shares the latest music news, sample libraries, audio hardware and production software reviews. A great place for the computer music producer.

Pensado’s Place: The most famous place to find audio mixing tips. It is a weekly show hosted by Dave Pensado and Herb Trawik. They interview top industry engineers and Dave shares valuable info with his program called Into The Liar which is part of Pensado’s Place.

Forums

Future Producers: Another great music producer forum with over half a million users. Meet new people, discuss music and get answers to your questions. Not as active as gearslutz but the community is great as well.

IDM: This was one of the forums I first joined when starting my production and they’ve helped me a lot. It is no longer as active as before but they have the best community. You get a fast response for questions or if you want your music reviewed then this is the best place.

KVR: Another big forum that I can compare with Gearslutz. They’re basically a website that share the latest audio news, reviews, tutorials and they also have a forum. Really active users and worth checking out.
